Executive Board

ACSA management is entrusted to an Executive Committee of Directors who are representatives of Full Members. The Association’s major activities are accomplished by working groups whose membership is determined by the Executive Committee. Executive meetings are held on a regular basis to discuss working group activities, advocacy priorities and emerging issues.



ACSA Chair

David Knights - NAB Asset Servicing

David Knights joined NAB Asset Servicing in 2013. David has over 20 years of multi-industry experience, spanning engineering, management consulting and banking & finance. He joined NAB in 2002, and has held senior roles across the Personal Bank, Business Bank, and Operations. Most recently David has demonstrated his breadth of financial experience through leading the business configuration of the new NAB core banking platform.

In his current role as General Manager, Client Delivery for NAB Asset Servicing he brings extensive operational and product management expertise to the ACSA Executive Committee.

Previously David has worked for Bevington Group (originally BCG) leading consulting assignments across the finance, logistics, healthcare and primary resource industries. His early career in engineering blends financial analysis, complex problem solving, strategic insight and continuous improvement skills into consistent, successful project delivery.

ACSA Treasurer

Daryl Crich - BNP Paribas Securities Services

Daryl commenced at BNP Paribas Securities Services over 20 years ago. Daryl is the Australasian Chief Administrative Officer and Head of Product Management. Daryl is responsible for product development, product profitability, and strategic implementation in the Region.

Prior to that, Daryl spent 10 years with KPMG in their Audit and Advisory Services Division, participating in their Banking and Finance Group for the last three years.

Daryl has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales, and is a Chartered Accountant.

ACSA Deputy Chair

Sally Surgeon - Northern Trust

Sally is a Senior Vice President and Head of Client Services Australasia and Head of Sydney office. In this role, Sally is responsible for relationship and client servicing for asset servicing clients based in Australia and New Zealand and as Head of the Sydney office is responsible for Sydney based partners, clients, consultants and industry relationships.

Sally joined Northern Trust in 2005 and has over 20 years’ experience within the financial services industry which includes the delivery of custody, fund administration and investment operations and reporting services to asset manager and asset owner client segments.

Prior to Northern Trust, Sally worked at State Street where she held a number of positions in operations, project management and consulting services in both their Sydney and London offices.

Sally holds a Bachelor of Economics (Macquarie University) and is a member of both CFA Society of the UK (IMC) and a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. Sally has previously been a member of the Women in Super’s Victoria Committee (2012/13) and chair of the Australian Custodial Services Association’s (ACSA’s) Communications Working Group.


Harpreet Ahuja - HSBC Securities Services

Harpreet joined HSBC in September 2019 as Director, Head of Product Management & Strategy, HSBC Securities Services Australia & New Zealand. In this role, Harpreet is responsible for driving the strategic direction of the business and further enhancing the existing product suite. This leadership capability will allow the business to design and deliver tailored solutions to meet client needs and position the business for sustainable growth.


Harpreet brings a wealth of industry and practical experience to HSBC. Prior to joining HSBC, Harpreet was Product Manager, Global Fund Services at Citigroup for Australia and New Zealand. In this role he was responsible for Product Management, Product Development and Operating model design across all aspects of Fund Administration including Middle Office and Fund Accounting.  His other roles include Head of Fund Accounting at Citi where he was responsible for the implementation of large complex asset managers and owners, managing accounting and reporting teams as well as leading transformational projects. Prior to joining Citi, Harpreet was the Head of Unit Pricing at NAB where he led a large operations team.


Harpreet holds a Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Computing and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investments.


Andrew Gibson - Citi Securities Services

Andrew joined Citi in 2004 as the Head of Corporate Actions for Australia and New Zealand, before moving to the role of a Product Manager in August 2007. In 2014 Andrew was appointed to the role of Head of Direct Custody and Clearing for Australia & New Zealand.

Prior to joining Citi, Andrew spent 18 years with National Asset Servicing (NAS), where he performed a product development / business analyst role and a variety of operational roles, culminating in 3 years as the Head of Corporate Actions.

Andrew has been a long term active participant in industry working groups and was recognised for his contribution to the custody and investment administration sector with an Australian Custodian Services Association (ACSA) industry award in 2010.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from RMIT University Melbourne and a Certificate in Financial Markets (Securities Institute of Australia).

Jennifer Saunders - State Street Global Services


Jennifer is a Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for State Street Global Services in Australia.  In this role, Jennifer is responsible for delivering service excellence across the Australian Client base.


Jennifer joined State Street in 2003 through the Deutsche Bank acquisition and has over 25 years experience in financial services.  She has held a number of senior roles in EMEA and APAC across Client Operations, Client Service, Operating Model Transformation and Strategic Relationship Management. 


Jennifer is a Director on the State Street Australia Limited Board.

Craig Twentyman - J.P. Morgan

Craig Twentyman is Head of Custody Product for JP Morgan Custody & Funds Services business in Australia and New Zealand. In this role Craig has responsibility for JP Morgan’s Global Custody product and Head of Direct Custody & Clearing for Australia & New Zealand.


Prior to joining JP Morgan, Craig was Head of Citigroup’s Securities Services Domestic Operations for Australia and New Zealand.


Craig’s career in financial services has spanned over 30 years . During this time, Craig held a variety of positions, working across Asia Pacific in Operational, Account Management and Product roles, before returning to Australia in 2005.
