Executive Board

ACSA management is entrusted to an Executive Committee of Directors who are representatives of Full Members. The Association’s major activities are accomplished by working groups whose membership is determined by the Executive Committee. Executive meetings are held on a regular basis to discuss working group activities, finances and other Custodial issues.

David Knights - NAB Asset Servicing

David Knights joined NAB Asset Servicing in 2013. David has over 20 years of multi-industry experience, spanning engineering, management consulting and banking & finance. He joined NAB in 2002, and has held senior roles across the Personal Bank, Business Bank, and Operations. Most recently David has demonstrated his breadth of financial experience through leading the business configuration of the new NAB core banking platform.

In his current role as General Manager, Client Delivery for NAB Asset Servicing he brings extensive operational and product management expertise to the ACSA Executive Committee.

Previously David has worked for Bevington Group (originally BCG) leading consulting assignments across the finance, logistics, healthcare and primary resource industries. His early career in engineering blends financial analysis, complex problem solving, strategic insight and continuous improvement skills into consistent, successful project delivery.

   

Andrew Gibson - Citi

 

Andrew joined Citi in 2004 as the Head of Corporate Actions for Australia and New Zealand, before moving to the role of a Product Manager in August 2007. In 2014 Andrew was appointed to the role of Head of Direct Custody and Clearing for Australia & New Zealand.

 

 

Prior to joining Citi, Andrew spent 18 years with National Asset Servicing (NAS), where he performed a product development / business analyst role and a variety of operational roles, culminating in 3 years as the Head of Corporate Actions.

 

 

Andrew has been a long term active participant in industry working groups and was recognised for his contribution to the custody and investment administration sector with an Australian Custodian Services Association (ACSA) industry award in 2010.

 

 

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from RMIT University Melbourne and a Certificate in Financial Markets (Securities Institute of Australia).

Gordon Little - RBC Investor & Treasury Services Australia

Gordon Little is responsible for all client services, client solutions, transitions and the optimisation of operational client interaction across Asia.

Prior to this, Gordon was the Director of Operations where he was responsible for Transaction Services, Corporate Entitlements, Operations Control, Fund Accounting, Unit Pricing, Performance, Compliance, Securities Pricing and Valuations.

Gordon joined RBC Investor & Treasury Services in June 2005 after working for five years at Deutsche Asset Management Australia where he held several positions including Chief Operating Officer for DB Capital Partners and Head of Information Technology for Asia Pacific.

Gordon is a Chartered Accountant with a degree in Commerce. Early experience and training was gained at Coopers and Lybrand, IBM Australia, Australian Defence Industries and the United States Army.

Marian Azer - J.P. Morgan

Marian is Head of Product for J.P. Morgan Investor Services in Australia and New Zealand. Marian joined J.P. Morgan from Mercer Sentinel, a specialist division within Mercer’s Investment consulting business during 2012. Marian works closely with clients and the wider industry to identify market trends and develop client-focused solutions, as well as manage the commercials and deal management functions.


With over 20 years experience in the financial industry, Marian also focuses on providing leadership for a team that cover the full range of Investor Services capabilities that J.P. Morgan offers, covering areas such as global custody, accounting, unit pricing, investment, exposure and risk analytics, exchange traded funds, OTC derivatives, transfer agency, middle office, private equity and bank loan services.


Marian leads J.P. Morgan’s regulatory programs and is instrumental in supporting the rapidly changing needs of J.P. Morgan’s clients through delivering in depth regulatory knowledge, practical implementation approaches, as well as being an active advocate in the industry.

Daniel Cheever - State Street Global Services

Daniel is responsible for State Street's superannuation strategy and product development. He has extensive experience with relationship management, operating model development and new client implementations for both superannuation and asset manager clients.

Daniel joined State Street in 1998. Since then, he has worked in a variety of operations and relationship management roles. He has also been an integral contributor to the creation of State Street's operating models for exchange traded funds, hedge funds and superannuation funds.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Commerce, both from the University of Sydney.

Daryl Crich - BNP Paribas Securities Services

Daryl commenced at BNP Paribas Securities Services over 20 years ago. Daryl is the Australasian Chief Administrative Officer and Head of Product Management. Daryl is responsible for product development, product profitability, and strategic implementation in the Region.

Prior to that, Daryl spent 10 years with KPMG in their Audit and Advisory Services Division, participating in their Banking and Finance Group for the last three years.

Daryl has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales, and is a Chartered Accountant.

Peter Snodgrass - HSBC

Peter joined HSBC in 2005 as Head of HSS Sydney, responsible for the Sub Custody and Fund Services business with 130 staff, AUD500bn in AUC. In 2010 he began a six year International Secondment with HSBC, initially with 2 years running the Japanese Sub Custody and Clearing business based in Tokyo implementing Third Party Clearing, 2 years heading up the CTLA business based in New York and then finally in 2014 he assumed the role Head of HSS Service Delivery based in Manila, Philippines where he ran the HSBC global service center team of more than 350 people which delivered back and middle office support for the Global and Sub Custody, Broker back office and Fund of Funds business’ within HSS.

 

In 2015 Peter returned to Sydney as Head of the Direct Custody & Clearing business which processes over 6 million transactions per year and holds over AUD $900bn of Clients’ AUC.

 Peter has a broad exposure with over 30 years’ experience in the Banking, Custodial and Financial Market segments having also worked at BNP Paribas, Commonwealth Custodial Services and Westpac Custodian Nominees in Australia prior to joining HSBC.

Madeleine Senior - Northern Trust

Madeleine Senior (Maddy) is Managing Director, Country Head for The Northern Trust Company in Australia. In this role Maddy is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the business in Australia and New Zealand.

Maddy joined Northern Trust in 1995 and has over 20 years industry experience working in London, Sweden and Chicago and has held a number of executive positions including her most recent role in London as the business development head for the EMEA region. Prior to this role, Maddy was Managing Director for the Nordic region, responsible for the client franchise in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark.

Maddy has lead client service and relationship teams supporting some of Northern Trust's key client and investment manager relationships and also served on the boards of the Northern Trust Luxembourg Management Company and Northern Trust International Fund Administration Services (Guernsey) Limited.

Maddy holds a Bachelor of Education (hons) from Oxford University and the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) from CFA Society of the UK.
