We’re pleased to announce ACSA has a new website, live at www.acsa.com.au
Our website is often the first point of contact we have as an organisation to the external world – for our members’ employees, for clients, media and aspiring professionals. The ACSA website refresh has been an ongoing project for the Communications working group in recent years.
Very early in the project, we surveyed members to better understand how our members were using the website, and what they would like: easier access to industry papers and statistics, a user-friendly member area, news and updates and ability to register for ACSA events and training. We also looked into feedback from other external groups, including new members, industry and media.
So what’s changed

Quite a few things have changed. The URL has changed to the easier-to-remember www.acsa.com.au, and all visitors to the custodial.org.au website will be automatically redirected to the new website.
The site layout is also easier to use and navigate, with a cleaner look and intuitive drop-down menus. We’ve made a conscious effort to select a more visually-appealing, modern and professional layout and graphics.
The ACSA statistics will be presented in both graph and visual formats. We’re looking at ways to allow the viewer to play around with the date range of statistics and export data and graphics.

The homepage has a direct portal to our secure member login area. For non-members, the home page easily presents who we are, our mission with links to other useful information about ACSA, including links recent news and events.
We’ve decluttered the website by placing the content (such as news and media releases) directly on the website, as opposed to having multiple PDF attachments.
Benefits for members
The member login area is a major upgrade of the website, and provides working groups a secure centralised location for their files.
The new member area means you can reduce clutter in your inbox, and easily access the latest meeting agendas and minutes, recent papers, and submissions. Members will have access to public files, and the files of their working group after being approved by the working group admin / chair.
As of mid May, we’ve already had over 100 registrations from members, and will be looking to have all working group members register by the end of next month. We are hoping to work on more interactive features, such as allowing members to further customise historical statistics to generate their own graphs, or allow single-click registration for ACSA events.
